MS-1740 (3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, CAS: 2530-85-0) reacts readily with a variety of unsaturated resin systems (eg: UPR, vinylesters, acrylics) via a free-radical process, and with amine-containing resins (eg: polyurethanes, polyureas) via Michael addition reaction. MS-1740 is particularly recommended in adhesives and sealants to improve adhesion to various substrates.
MHPT (methyl,hydroxyethyl-p-toluidine, CAS: 2842-44-6) is an amine-based cure accelerator used to enhance polymerisations through the activation of organic peroxide initiators. These polymerisations include unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl-ester resins, and acrylate systems. MHPT is typically used in concentrations ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%.
